MN Community Measurement led a community effort to product a multipayer, state wide medical group specific comparisons of health care costs and utilization. This allows analysis on what drives the variation in health care costs; the cost per unit or the number of units.
This process produced 140 distinct risk adjusted measures using only 8 input tables over 4 years using no large database displace covering 1,500,000 patients per year. The results are clean reliable data in a fast to market process.
